What are the conference dates?

APAC Atmosphere 2017 takes place from September 19th to 22nd 2017. Your arrival and departure dates may vary based upon your session and track selection.

  • Airheads & Partners Conference: Tuesday, September 19th to Thursday, September 21st
  • Foundational Training: Thursday, September 21st & Friday, September 22nd
  • Certification Exams: Thursday, September 21st
What are the registration fees?

The registration fee depends on the track:

  • Conference and training with 5-nights hotel stay: USD 1,299
  • Conference and exam with 4-nights hotel stay: USD 999
  • Conference with 3-nights hotel stay: USD 799
  • Certification Exams: Free of charge

Early bird promotion is available if you register before July 30th 2017 (15% discount for packages with accommodation). For more information please contact atmsecretariat@pmgasia.com

Can I pay for the conference in another currency than USD?

Unfortunately, not. Payment of the conference fees must be paid in USD.

What forms of payment do you accept for the conference fee?

We accept all major credit cards.

Are the Training classes advanced? Do they prepare for any of the certification exams?

The training classes are true fundamentals classes. Only ClearPass Fundamentals prepares the student for one of the Aruba certification exams – the ACCA.

What do I need to bring for a training class?

If you have registered for a training class please bring along your own laptop to access the Hands-On-Labs during the two-day training. Please ensure it is a Windows laptop with a Wi-Fi card installed and you have administrative privileges.

Are the ACCX, ACDX or ACMX exams offered this year?

Yes. You may request to sit in either exam during the agenda selection process of registration. Your request will be reviewed by the Aruba Networks training team. If you are selected to take the requested test, you will be notified by an Aruba representative. There is no cost to take the test.

I’m a partner engineer. Which track(s) should I sign up for?

Airheads is the track specifically for engineers, like yourself. Airheads encompasses both partner and customer mobility experts coming together to learn and share.

As a partner engineer, you may attend Partner breakout sessions in-lieu of your Airheads breakout sessions if you wish. You do not need to sign up for Partner breakouts to attend these sessions. Please be aware that Partner sessions are intended for partner salespeople and principals.

Registration close date

Registration for APAC Atmosphere 2017 will close on Thursday, August 31st, 2017.

Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds

You may substitute your registration to another colleague within your company by sending an email to atmsecretariat@pmgasia.com with the new registrant copied.

Please note that the deadline for all transfers and edits is Friday, August 18th, 2017.

Registration cancellations received in writing by 11:59 PM SGT on Friday, August 18th, 2017 will be refunded in full. Please email cancellation requests to atmsecretariat@pmgasia.com.

Cancellations received after Friday, August 18th, 2017 at 11:59 PM SGT will not be refunded, regardless of registration type.

All reasonable care has been taken in organising this event. However, Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company and our appointed event organiser, PMG Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, shall not be liable for your personal safety during the event. This includes any loss or damage caused by negligence or by the following circumstances: acts of God, war, government regulation or action, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder including but not limited to strikes; labour disputes, curtailment of transport facilities or any other emergency beyond a party’s reasonable control.

Does the registration fee include travel costs for the conference?

No. Airfare, car, and all transfers are the responsibility of the attendee. Should you require any information on official airline and the rates enquiries, please email to atmsecretariat@pmgasia.com.

How do I book my room?

Aruba has reserved a block of rooms, you can book a single or double room during the registration and Aruba will allocate the room based on your arrival/departure date and room availability.

Hotel room booking will be done on a first come first serve basis.

Specific Room Location or Floor Requests

If you plan to bring other guests like your spouse and/or children, you can indicate your room requirements on the registration site and we will manage your hotel booking separately.

What are the check-in/check-out times at the conference hotel?

Check in is at 15:00hrs. Check out is 11:00hrs.

Can I bring a guest with me to any APAC Atmosphere activities?

Atmosphere 2017 is an industry focused event. All attendees must be registered in advance and those attending any part of the programme will be required to wear their attendee badge for access to all events. Guests may not attend any other portion of the conference, including meals, keynote sessions, breaks, breakout sessions, and other official social activities.

I have special dietary restrictions – how can I notify you?

Please include your dietary requirement details during registration.

Passports and Visas

To promote tourism, Macau has some liberal visa-free entry policies for citizens of 66 countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, and most of the countries in Europe. The duration ranges from 180 days to 14 days, depending on nationality.

For India passport holders, although visa-on-arrival is available, it is still recommended to apply for visa to Macau in advance to ensure a smooth entry to Macau.

What is the currency in Macau?

Macau’s official currency is the pataca (MOP), which is divided into 100 avos (cents) and linked to the Hong Kong dollar (HKD) by government decree at an exchange rate of MOP103.20 to HKD100.00, with an acceptable variation of up to 10%. Coins are issued in 10, 20 and 50 avos and 1, 2, 5 pataca denominations, and bills in 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Pataca denominations.

What is the weather like in Macau in September?

As a subtropical city, Macau has a moderate climate, with temperatures ranging on average between 20 ºC (68 ºF) and 26 ºC (79 ºF) and an average annual rainfall of about 2,058 mm. Summer (May to September) is the rainy season, and can be sultry, with the occasional typhoon.

How do I get to Macau?

Travel to Macau is easily arranged, with options to suit most itineraries. Those who prefer to travel by air can take a direct or connecting flight to Macau International Airport.

All delegates are strongly encouraged to fly directly in and out of Macau International Airport (MFM) – please see the list of flight timings servicing at MFM.

Ferry Transfer & Booking

Ferries are also available, running regularly between Macau, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and offer stunning views of the coast and the city skylines. Visitors traveling from or via the Mainland can cross into Macau by land at the Lotus Bridge in Cotai or at the Border Gate on Macau Peninsula.

The nearest port to Venetian and Parisian is Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal. Ferry travelling time from/ to Hong Kong to/ from Macau is approximately 50 minutes.

From Hong Kong International Airport to Macau

For those flying into Hong Kong and directly transiting via ferry to Macau, TurboJet is available for booking now. If you prefer to transit via Cotai Water Jet, booking will be available 45 days before departure date.

    Passengers should complete ferry check-in procedures at the designated e-Check-in Counter at E2 on Level 5, T1 of HK Int’l Airport at least 60 minutes before sailing time. Passengers to arrive at the ferry boarding gate not less than 15 minutes before sailing time.
  • Without check-in baggage or with airline tag through baggage:
    Passengers to arrive at the ferry boarding gate not less than 15 minutes before sailing time.

From Hong Kong Island to Macau

For those planning to take the ferry from Hong Kong Island into Macau, please note that both TurboJet and Cotai will only open for ferry booking 45 days before departure date.

From Macau to Hong Kong International Airport

  • Important notes:
  • Your sailing should be at least 3 hours prior to your flight departure time.
  • Please also ensure that you are boarding the ferry at the ferry terminal indicated in your return ferry ticket, as there are more than one ferry terminals in Macau.
What are the spoken languages in Macau?

Though Cantonese is the most widely spoken language in town, English is also common, especially in tourism and commerce. The official languages of Macau, used in government departments, official communications and documentation, are Chinese and Portuguese.
