Senior Technical Writer (Req# Eng006)

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of software documentation, including User Guides, CLI Reference Guides, and Release Notes. Your initial focus will be on embedded system documentation. Additional responsibilities include planning, process documentation, and assistance with other projects as needed.

Requirements:

Excellent oral, written, analytical, and organizational skills, detail orientated, and able to think and write in context with the target reader or operator. Must have a strong understanding of networking. The candidate must build a strong working relationship with the cross-functional product development areas of the company, and have a hands-on approach to the technology and product being documented. Must possess initiative and creativity, and be able to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment with a fluid schedule. Must be self-motivated and able to plan and lead documentation projects.

• Requires a BA/BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or related field
• 5+ years of demonstrable track record in technical writing in the networking industry
• Must have strong FrameMaker and Acrobat skills.
• Illustrator, XML, WebWorks, and scripting experience is a plus.
